Mashups
Small creatures. Big ideas to color, create, and share.
Meet 27 playful mashups, read short facts about each creature behind them, and draw your own version on the facing Imagination Station page.
Meet Glowmantis.
Then make your own.
Color a praying mantis and firefly mashup, read three facts about each real creature, then turn to the facing page to draw your version.
What would your Glowmantis look like?

A sample spread from Bug Mashups. Every creature gets a coloring page and a page to create your own.
Color one. Imagine another.
Start with any creature that catches your eye. Rippy gives the instructions inside the book.

Meet a mashup.
Color the creature on the left. At the bottom, read three short facts about each of its two source creatures.
Make your version.
Use the facing Imagination Station page to draw it, give it a name, and tell where it lives, what it eats, how it breathes, and what makes it special.
Give someone your page.
Ask a grown-up to help cut along the guide so you can share your drawing.
Pick two bugs.
The final four Creation Station pages let you choose the two creatures, draw a brand-new mashup, and tell its story.

What would you combine?
Write your two bugs at the top, fill the big drawing space, and finish the prompts below. A grown-up can submit your original mashup for Mash of the Month.
