Mashups
Color, create, rip it—and give your page to someone you love.
This animal mashup coloring and activity book invites kids to color 27 creatures, discover facts about the real animals behind them, then draw and describe their own creations in the Imagination Station.
First, meet Frogiraffe.
Then make it your own.
On the left, color the mashup and learn about frogs and giraffes. Turn the page and the Imagination Station is yours to fill.
Meet Frogiraffe! What would yours look like?

A sample two-page spread from Animal Mashups. The book opens with Deever Beaver; Frogiraffe is another creature inside.
A little guidance. A lot of room to imagine.
Start anywhere that looks fun. Rippy explains the idea inside the book, and each two-page spread follows the same rhythm.

Meet the mashup.
Color the animal on the left page and write a name on the line. At the bottom, read three facts about each of the two real animals that inspired it.
Now it’s their turn.
On the facing Imagination Station page, draw a new version. Use the lines to describe where it lives, what it eats, how it breathes, how it protects itself, and its special ability.
Let someone else enjoy it.
The dotted line is a cutting guide. Ask a grown-up to cut out a finished page so it can be given to someone they love.
Invent any combination.
The final four Creation Station pages have space for two animal names, a drawing, and a story. There’s no wrong answer.

Pick any two animals.
Write them at the top, draw the mashup in the big frame, then finish its story using the prompts below. Those original creations can be entered in Mash of the Month with a grown-up’s help.
